Whisenant's New House

Kelly, Jason, and the boys moved into their new house last week. Stephanie and I went out there to let the kids run around and play.

There are lots of little places in the house for them to hide and play.
The weather was great and they played outside almost the entire day. They rolled down the hill . . .
They rode bikes, trikes, and scooters around the garage and up and down the driveway . . .

They took a little breather for a picture!
Marek found someone's Capri Sun and tried to slurp it down as fast as he could!
The Triplets . . .
Ashlynn broke open a cut on her knee and was bleeding. Madelyn was horrified but thought Ashlynn was so brave! It was all better after the bandage went on . . .
Tom, Madelyn, Marek and I stayed over at the Whisenant's on Sunday. Jenny, Jonathan, and Olivia (Jason's Sister and family) were there Sunday night, also. We grilled steaks and the kids ran around looking for fireflies!

After they all took a shower, we got them ready for bedtime . . .

The next morning we made a big breakfast . . . the kids approved . . . Marek was the last lone soldier eating. My boy can eat!

The weather was cool all weekend - perfect for sitting out on the patio and watching the kids run and play!

We hope you had a very happy Memorial Day!

Memorial Day Weekend

AND Tommy's birthday (Friday 25th)! What a great weekend it was. Kelly and Jason watched the kids while Tommy and I got away for dinner on Friday. Mimi and Dziadek came in on Saturday and took us all out for dinner to Joe T Garcias. The atmosphere there is great and Madelyn and Marek were so well behaved! We were able to eat outside and narrowly escaped the rain!

BK Fun and Movies!

Kelly and I took the kids to the playground at Burger King last week. They love crawling through all the tunnels and screaming at the top of their lungs . . .

Marek sharing his fries with Kelly . . . Madelyn posing (weird!) for the camera . . .
Landon's back there somewhere . . .
Aunt Kelly shared some of her chocolate shake with Marek. It was his first taste of chocolate! He's almost 12 months . . .
He REALLY liked it!

That afternoon (after naps) Stephanie, Ashlynn, and Chase joined us to see "Meet the Robinsons". We had the entire theater to ourselves!
Between the five of them, we ran to the bathroom about 8 times! Movies will never be the same . . .

Marek Groovin'

Marek was bobbing his head and jamming to the "Fruits of the Spirit" song at Madelyn's end of year program. That's his latest thing - shaking his head while dancing! It's so cute to see his concentration while he does it.

Last Day of School :(

We will miss Ms. Carie and Ms. Jennifer so much. They are such amazing teachers and have been such a huge part of our lives. Thank you both for taking such good care of our girl and loving her like she was yours!
Madelyn and Dylan running up to the school on their last day . . .

Dylan being the gentleman and holding the door for the ladies!
This was actually not prompted - I asked them to stand next to their teacher and he grabbed her and said "sheeze"!
Madelyn and Ms. Carie & Ms. Jennifer and Dylan
Dylan, Maddie, and Kylie
I picked up Chic-fil-A for the teachers - the kids were pleased to see me. They got to see me twice because Chic-fil-A forgot the fries and I had to go back . . .

Jaden, Kylie, Madelyn, Dylan

Stacey, Jaden's mommy, brought the cupcakes in the form of a bumble bee! So clever!

Madelyn hugging Kylie good-bye - so sweet!
The final wave on their last day of school . . .
We will see Kylie again very soon at gymnastics and dance class over the summer!

End of School Program

Madelyn and her cousins had their end of school program last night and it was so stinkin' cute. I took video of the entire program while uncle Chris took pictures (the Posts didn't have any kids to hold since both of theirs were performing). Thanks, uncle Chris!

The program started at 6:00 so we were there at 5:00 to get good seats! We took pics of the kids while we waited. I had to give Marek a carrot wheel to get him to sit still!

Madelyn's and Dylan's class, the Bumble Bees, sang "You Are My Sunshine". Madelyn sang the whole song and did all the hand motions!

You can see part of Dylan in the bottom left giving someone "the eye" under his sunglasses!
After their big debut, Madelyn and Dylan enjoyed some refreshments at their "reception" in their classroom.
Our little Miss Ashlynn graduated from Preschool. It's hard to believe she'll be going to Kindergarten in the Fall! What a beautiful graduate!

We ate at Texas Roadhouse after the big show. It's perfect because you can throw peanut shells on the ground so you don't have to worry about the kids making a mess AND it's loud so screaming kids aren't a problem!

Landon making sure he had enough crayons for his masterpiece . . .
Marek ate a whole loaf of bread!
Dylan and Madelyn were so cute, they had so much fun together!

Madelyn trying to get a peanut out of the shell. . .

All of the kids were so well behaved - we were so proud!

Happy Mother's Day

I feel so unbelievably blessed - what a great Mother's Day! Dr. Oley treated us all to brunch at the Four Seasons in Las Colinas. I'm still full! It was such a wonderful day - thank you, Dziadek!

Brian and Jessica sat at the craft table they had set up with Madelyn and made a Mother's Day card for Mimi and me.
Marek was so good through the whole brunch! He loves brunch (at the Four Seasons) what good taste!
Happy Mother's Day to all my favorite and special Mommies, Mimis, Nanas, Grandmas, etc . . . !

Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

Well, there's a new addition to the Oley Blog - making his first cameo appearance . . . jDahn! That's a soft "J" and a silent "H". This is Gena's new boy <> friend. Although I really want to hate him, he's quite witty and amiable. He's still in the interview stages . . .

We went to the Rangers game on Saturday with them. We first met at On The Border for some beers and margs - Gena and I wore matching outfits - how nice.

Oh, forgot to mention the pit stop Tommy took to pick up a 32 oz Coors Light for himself and a 32 oz Smirnoff Ice for me . . . really really classy. . .
Dan is very . . . special . . .

We had so much fun even though we only stayed for 2 hours. Gena and jDahn had a wedding that night. Next time we'll have to do it when we can "watch" the whole game!

A special thanks to the following:
  • Dan for finishing off the Smirnoff Ice - Tommy really appreciates a "waste not, want not" mentality.
  • Gena for the photos.
  • Mimi for watching the kiddos! You're the BEST!

Rainbows

We've been blessed with so much rain this year! I know we'll be experiencing 185 deg weather soon so I'm being positive . . .

After one of the showers - there was a big rainbow which I thought was a perfect photo op! Not many things are not good photo ops with me! You can barely see it in the photos below but it starts on the bottom left . . .
