Happy 2010

Wow - we're not wearing silver space suits, at least most of us aren't! It's been an amazing decade. Ten years ago I wasn't yet married or even engaged. It's been probably the most monumental decade in my life. Married and 3 children in 10 years. I am excited to see what the next decade holds. God Bless you all and have a very Happy and SAFE New year.

Brian and Jess

On Sunday, we went to church in Dallas at Christ the King and then headed over to Brian and Jessica's for lunch and football!

Mimi wanted proof that we were all at church together! :)

My sweet baby girl. We were watching the 3D video of Jude in the background. I can't wait to meet that little guy!!

Oley Christmas

Round 2! We celebrated Christmas with the Oleys the next day at our house! The table was already set and the kids had played with all of their new toys so the house wasn't in shambles! I just changed out the nameplates on the table and we used paper plates! Dziadek had made this incredible tenderloin and his famous garlic mashed potatoes with edemame and bacon! Yum! We ate Linner (lunch/dinner) and then relaxed and played some Rock Band!
Bradley (Tom's cousin) came with his 3 kids and John Barry brought his new Lego Rock Band!

It was beautiful outside although still a bit chilly . . .

Brian grabbed my camera and started taking random pictures. Here's proof that I'm actually present at these functions! I was nursing (completely covered) and he was pointing and laughing. He's 12. ;)

We were able to get just a couple group shots! Micah wasn't too thrilled.

I had asked Dan and Jessica to be Micah's God Parents. They are both so very excited. So is my precious Micah.

After opening gifts we sat around and chatted some more. After everyone left, Madelyn and Marek got comfortable! Here they are sporting their new robes and slippers.

We let them watch a little movie and then it was off to bed!

It was such a wonderful Christmas week!

Christmas!!

Well, Santa was good to us again this year! Jesus has been even better! We are so thankful for the blessings that our dear Lord and Saviour has bestowed upon us. I didn't get any pictures of Santa and opening his presents because I always take video of that. I had gotten up early to make the cinnamon rolls (YUM) and start making the food for the day.

Nana and Papa arrived first because they are so close. The Posts and Whisenants waited until the snow and ice melted a little to be safe.

Baby Ava all dressed up!

Brock got to meet his new dog cousin, Bella! He was a little nervous around her - I think it was because he didn't want to accidentally eat her! She was about the same size as the squirrel Santa got him!

I was able to extend the table and fit EVERYONE in! 8 adults and 6 kids!
After lunch we opened presents. Nana got a necklace from us with all the grandbabies birthstones - it's HEAVY with 8 grandbabies! I hope it doesn't hurt her neck. . .

The boys all got Star Wars and Transformer helmets. It then took another hour for the dads to open the packages to get them out and assembled. :)
Madelyn got an Easy Bake oven. . .
Brock was unphased by the goings on and all the wrapping paper. He just chewed on his bone. :)

Marek trying out his new toy . . .
Papa trying out their new toy!
Micah slept through a lot of the present opening again but joined us later on . . .

Papa playing with little Ava . . .
Nana getting in some snuggles with Micah . . .
What a wonderful Christmas! God Bless us one and all!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at Nana and Papa's house. I gave Micah a bath before we went and her hair is so curly after we wash it - I just had to get some pictures of her 'fro!!
Madelyn and Marek are still so in love with their little baby sister. Be still my beating heart.

Kelly and Jason brought the boys' present from Santa to Nana and Papa's house. A little Havanese puppy - Bella! She is just so precious.

Madelyn and Ashlynn couldn't keep their little paws off of her!

So sweet.

Nana had the tables decorated so cute. The little angels are made from coffee filters. Or if you ask my dad - he slaved making all the pleats in all the papers himself. :)

It started to snow and it was so beautiful. First white Christmas in the DFW area since 1926!

Kelly, the boys, and her little girl!

Marek playing with baby Ava. He's so sweet with babies. :)
Nana's little mice . . . she made these little chocolate truffles shaped like mice. Too stinkin' cute.

The kids loved them!
Just like Ozzy Osbourne! Bite the heads off! hehehe
The kids asked over and over again when they could open their gifts. It was finally time . . .
Nana and Papa had them all open their gifts together. They went WAY above and beyond again. They each got their own Zhu Zhu which, btw, I hadn't even heard of! Not only did they get their own Zhu Zhu but they got almost all of the accessories. I don't know how Nana and Papa do it.

THEN they each got a guitar with a guitar lesson book and DVD. . .

Opening their GIANT stockings . . .
Madelyn showing off her framed picture of all the grandbabies. . .
Great Grandma Z got all the kids (including Micah and Ava) their very own counting banks with money!
She got all the families gift cards. . .

Thank you, Momzee!!
Micah slept through most of it with her crazy hair!

And it kept snowing, and snowing . . .
Church services were canceled and we just took it slowly on the way home. Marek was out before I could even take a picture of them in the car. We had JUST left my parent's house. . .
We got home and I got prepared for Christmas day at our house! I found a recipe for homeade cinnamon rolls that are supposed to be a Cinnabon clone. They turned out GREAT! I need to work on the making and kneading of the dough but they were scrumptious!
I just love Christmas. :)
