Great Weekend part 2

Sunday was another beautiful day - a bit warmer than Saturday . . . We headed over to the Whisenants again after breakfast. Madelyn snuggled up with uncle Jason right away . . .

Tom decided to go get a Slip-n-Slide for the kids - what a blast! I'm not sure who had more fun - daddy or the kids! Here he is giving Maddie a little push . . .

It was the perfect day for a slip-n-slide!

Marek took a long nap and then woke up hungry! He started with some guacamole . . .

Tommy wore himself out playing with those kids all day . . .

They took a little break to have some juice bars . . .

We ended the day with some more tag (good excercise!) and a pony ride by uncle Jason!

Great Weekend part 1

Wow - such super weather we're having! We had another great weekend. Daddy played volleyball on Saturday so the kids and I headed over to the Whisenant's for the day. Daddy met us there and we then proceeded to Susan's and Scott's lake house. We had SO much fun! Madelyn and Sara played up and down the dock.

Madelyn wanted to play on the jet skis the minute she saw them!

It rained for a bit while we were there which Madelyn LOVED - apparantly I don't let her play out in the rain often enough (or ever) . . .
Marek hung out for a little bit but then he wanted to walk up and down the dock and right into the water . . . no fear.
Madelyn was elated when I told her we would be taking the jet skis out for a spin . . . after the rain the water was so calm and there were no boats on the lake! Perfect!

Madelyn was a little unsure at first but after about a minute - I'm not kidding when I say that she smiled the entire time. She kept yelling "go faster mommy - go faster!" I already had it at full throttle . . . yikes . . .

So much fun and it was only Saturday!!

Swimming at Nana's

Being that Mondays are dance, Tuesdays - gymnastics, Wednesdays - dance again, and Fridays swim lessons - that leaves Thursdays open! We went to Nana's yesterday and swam and swam! The Post's came to join us for an after dinner swim! It was such a BEAUTIFUL day - the weather has been so perfect - it's hard to believe it's the middle of July in Texas!

The big pool was too cold for him the first time so he opted for the kiddie pool. He proceeded to dump water in his face!

Nana gave him his second birthday present - a dump truck! He kept putting toys in but needed help on the dumping out part. He wanted to use it to scoot around the house with . . .
As soon as Papa walked through the door he whined until papa picked him up. Then it was thumb in mouth . . .

. . . are so good right now! Marek LOVES them - if he sees me eating one he'll get to me as fast as he can and grab it from me!

Princess

Riley (our neighbor) gave Madelyn about 6 princess dresses and some of them have leotards built in. Madelyn said right away that she wanted to wear one to gymnastics. She doesn't forgt ANYTHING!

Car Wash

Madelyn woke up from her nap and wanted to help daddy wash the cars today. . .

She changed into her suit and got right to work!

Nathan's Birthday Party

We went to Nathan's birthday party on Saturday. Susan and I took our girls - Marek stayed home with daddy.

It was supposed to be a pool party but poor little Nathan had spent 2 days at the hospital after falling off his swing and cutting his little head open. He got some stitches and was told to stay out of the sun and water. Boys shouldn't do that to their mommies!!
