Baking Cookies

Fall makes me feel like baking (although it's been warm this past week). Maddie helped me make chocolate chip cookies - she's such a big helper.

Mommy helped measure and stir all of the ingredients. Maddie loved using the mixer . . .
Don't forget the chocolate chips!

Those don't look like cookies . . .Now we wait for them to bake . . .

We're so happy that they don't look like blobs of dough anymore!

These look delicious!

The moment of truth . . .

She loved them!

I love my big helper . . .

She's such a big girl because he really is a beefcake . . .

Castle Park . . . Part Deux

This is our new favorite spot to go with the kids. Maddie enoyed it again - now if we can get there before dark . . .

The Infamous Castle Park . . .

So many nooks and crannies . . .

Our Little Artist

Maddie is still creating great pieces of art . . . I have to be quick with the camera because she's quick to erase!

Like Father, Like Son . . . Like Daughter?

The Oley's have stubborn, dominant genes . . .

Maybe someday they'll start to look like me . . .

Trick or Treat!

Here we all are at Nana and Papa's before heading out to trick or treat. I was an angel (of course) and daddy is one lucky devil (hehe). Madelyn is Belle and Marek is the Beast from Beauty and the Beast.

Madelyn was so excited to get candy - she led the pack - running from house to house. (Aunt Stephanie is behind her as a pirate.)

She was very polite and said "trick or treat" (after ringing the doorbell 300 times) and “thank you” (with a little coaching here and there) . . .
Daddy keeping Marek warm . . .

Chase was Dash (Incredibles), Ashlynn was a princess, and Dylan and Landon were Batman and Robin.

Uncle Chris was also a Pirate . . .

I love seeing Super Friends get a long . . .

Robin getting assistance from Daddy . . . even Super Heros need help once in a while . . .

What a princess . . .

Counting and checking all the candy . . .

I'm so glad papa wasn't a hippy . . . (papa with Stephanie's wig)

Carving Pumpkins!

We carved pumpkins Monday night. I got Madelyn all stripped down to get messy and she didn't like the mushy, gooey pumpkin slime! She'll always try something first but she wanted me to wash her hands right away! She's such a little princess! She wanted to color the pumpkin instead . . .

Watching her daddy draw on his pumpkin gave her an idea . . .

She'd rather draw than scrape the slime . . .

She's such an artist . . .

After our baths we took pictures of our final products!

Castle Park

We joined the Whisenants for Dinner at Fresco's and then took the kids to this really cool "Castle" park this past Sunday (10/29). Of course, it was after daylight savings so it got dark very quick! It didn't matter - they LOVED it!

Big smiles from Dylan!
Lots of digging . . .

Maddie found her daddy and Marek . . .

Ahoy, Maddie!

Many slides . . .

Aunt Kelly and Dylan on the prowl . . .

Dylan was laughing so hard because he was bouncing the rope to make Maddie fall.

Madelyn wasn't fond of this game and was telling Dylan to "be nice" . . . he couldn't stop laughing!

I want to do it myself . . .
