Last Day of School :(

We will miss Ms. Carie and Ms. Jennifer so much. They are such amazing teachers and have been such a huge part of our lives. Thank you both for taking such good care of our girl and loving her like she was yours!
Madelyn and Dylan running up to the school on their last day . . .

Dylan being the gentleman and holding the door for the ladies!
This was actually not prompted - I asked them to stand next to their teacher and he grabbed her and said "sheeze"!
Madelyn and Ms. Carie & Ms. Jennifer and Dylan
Dylan, Maddie, and Kylie
I picked up Chic-fil-A for the teachers - the kids were pleased to see me. They got to see me twice because Chic-fil-A forgot the fries and I had to go back . . .

Jaden, Kylie, Madelyn, Dylan

Stacey, Jaden's mommy, brought the cupcakes in the form of a bumble bee! So clever!

Madelyn hugging Kylie good-bye - so sweet!
The final wave on their last day of school . . .
We will see Kylie again very soon at gymnastics and dance class over the summer!

End of School Program

Madelyn and her cousins had their end of school program last night and it was so stinkin' cute. I took video of the entire program while uncle Chris took pictures (the Posts didn't have any kids to hold since both of theirs were performing). Thanks, uncle Chris!

The program started at 6:00 so we were there at 5:00 to get good seats! We took pics of the kids while we waited. I had to give Marek a carrot wheel to get him to sit still!

Madelyn's and Dylan's class, the Bumble Bees, sang "You Are My Sunshine". Madelyn sang the whole song and did all the hand motions!

You can see part of Dylan in the bottom left giving someone "the eye" under his sunglasses!
After their big debut, Madelyn and Dylan enjoyed some refreshments at their "reception" in their classroom.
Our little Miss Ashlynn graduated from Preschool. It's hard to believe she'll be going to Kindergarten in the Fall! What a beautiful graduate!

We ate at Texas Roadhouse after the big show. It's perfect because you can throw peanut shells on the ground so you don't have to worry about the kids making a mess AND it's loud so screaming kids aren't a problem!

Landon making sure he had enough crayons for his masterpiece . . .
Marek ate a whole loaf of bread!
Dylan and Madelyn were so cute, they had so much fun together!

Madelyn trying to get a peanut out of the shell. . .

All of the kids were so well behaved - we were so proud!

Happy Mother's Day

I feel so unbelievably blessed - what a great Mother's Day! Dr. Oley treated us all to brunch at the Four Seasons in Las Colinas. I'm still full! It was such a wonderful day - thank you, Dziadek!

Brian and Jessica sat at the craft table they had set up with Madelyn and made a Mother's Day card for Mimi and me.
Marek was so good through the whole brunch! He loves brunch (at the Four Seasons) what good taste!
Happy Mother's Day to all my favorite and special Mommies, Mimis, Nanas, Grandmas, etc . . . !

Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

Well, there's a new addition to the Oley Blog - making his first cameo appearance . . . jDahn! That's a soft "J" and a silent "H". This is Gena's new boy <> friend. Although I really want to hate him, he's quite witty and amiable. He's still in the interview stages . . .

We went to the Rangers game on Saturday with them. We first met at On The Border for some beers and margs - Gena and I wore matching outfits - how nice.

Oh, forgot to mention the pit stop Tommy took to pick up a 32 oz Coors Light for himself and a 32 oz Smirnoff Ice for me . . . really really classy. . .
Dan is very . . . special . . .

We had so much fun even though we only stayed for 2 hours. Gena and jDahn had a wedding that night. Next time we'll have to do it when we can "watch" the whole game!

A special thanks to the following:
 • Dan for finishing off the Smirnoff Ice - Tommy really appreciates a "waste not, want not" mentality.
 • Gena for the photos.
 • Mimi for watching the kiddos! You're the BEST!

Rainbows

We've been blessed with so much rain this year! I know we'll be experiencing 185 deg weather soon so I'm being positive . . .

After one of the showers - there was a big rainbow which I thought was a perfect photo op! Not many things are not good photo ops with me! You can barely see it in the photos below but it starts on the bottom left . . .

Daddy's Home!

Marek is such a ham these days. He gets so excited when his daddy gets home that he just about jumps out of his skin! He looks like a little monkey.

Muffins with Mommy

Madelyn's school had a "Muffins with Mommy" breakfast yesterday. I can't believe school's out next week!
Jason missed the "Pancakes with Daddy" breakfast so he joined Kelly and the boys. Of course, Madelyn sat with him the entire time!
Stephanie was there with Chase and Ashlynn . . .

More Destin Pics

Not only did we surprise the big Doc (Dziadek), some of his medical school buddies (Doug, Bill, and Brad) flew in to surprise him as well. Doug actually owns several (that's right, several) homes in Destin and the other two, along with their wives, stayed with him. In fact, we stayed at Barbara's and Bill's condo and they stayed with Doug! Talk about hospitality!

Here are Dr. Oley and his friends telling old OR and intern stories . . .

One of Doug's homes was at Rosemary Beach just north of where we stayed. We visited Bill and Barbara there and it was beautiful!
My beautiful blonde haired, blue eyed babes!
Barbara & Bill with Tom & Becky
My beautiful children and I soaking up the amazing ocean view on the open porch . . .
One of God's remarkable sunsets I shared with Mimi and Marek!
Tom and I after another fabulous meal with some amazing people!

We spent the entire day with Bill and Barbara and had so much fun. I don't know how many trips Dr. O and Bill made to get more wine but it was very much appreciated! We took the kids in the elevator (in Doug's house!) down to the van. What a day!

Madelyn made a new friend in Barbara. She is still asking when we'll see her again!

Destin, Florida

Marek took his first plane ride last Thursday as we headed off to our first family of four vacation on an airplane! Wow - we checked 7 bags at the airport (2 of them were car seats). We also each had at least 1 carry-on bag! It was so much fun but went by WAY too fast.

The purpose of the trip was to surprise Dr. Oley for his 60th birthday (it's not until June 19th - SURPRISE!). Gena, Brian, and Jessica came in from Houston and we all came in from DFW earlier in the day. We decorated, grocery shopped, played on the beach and drank some margs all in preparation for the Big Docs arrival. I still cannot believe we pulled it off without him finding out! It was great fun. I took about 450 pics so here are a few . . . the rest can be viewed at: http://www.kodakgallery.com/ShareLandingSignin.jsp?Uc=cwwvf1h.8iss0xkp&Uy=-ie0viz&Upost_signin=Slideshow.jsp%3Fmode%3Dfromshare&Ux=1

Lugging the kids through the airport. There was a last minute gate change and slightly delayed flight but it really went quite smoothly! The kids did great.

They had a little playground at the airport - Madelyn enjoyed playing, watching tv and all the other kids . . .

On the plane! Madelyn's ears bothered her a little as we were descending but Marek was a trooper!

We made it! Here we are on the 16th floor at the condo looking out - what a view it was . . .

Madelyn's first ocean experience! Off came the dress and she was letting the water hit her toes . . .
Happy to pose for the camera, of course . . .
Marek and Dziadek the morning after the surprise!
All the girls (minus Madelyn) . . .
Maddie having fun on the beach being silly . . .
We saved some of the surprises for another day and gave Dziaked his scrapbook . . .

Trying to get the perfect group Christmas photo. There were about 5 cameras going off!

More attempts at family photos! The sun was so bright for little Maddie's eyes. . .

This may just be the winning shot!

More group photos . . .

Marek with his "spikey" hair . . .
Drool!My little beach bum . . .
What a great trip -and like all great trips, it was too short!
