1 Year Check-Up

My little man had his one year check up today. FOUR shots - one in each arm and each leg :(

On the way to the doctor . . .

The nurse gave him a little ball and he held onto it and sucked his thumb until he fell asleep in his car seat. . .

On the way home - he wouldn't look at me :(

One Year Stats:

• Weight: 21 lb 13 oz ~ 40th percentile
• Height: 30" ~ 60th percentile
• Head: 47.2 cm ~ 75th percentile

Madelyn's First Sleep Over

Madelyn had her first sleep over last night! I had a girls night with Kelly and Sherry - Sushi! I got home and Tom told me that our neighbor Riley was staying over. It was so sweet - I went in and took pictures and they didn't even budge! They wore themselves out!

The girls slept in until 8:00! I made everyone blueberry pancakes . . .

Even Marek enjoyed playing with the girls!

Two Facing Forward

My big man can see where we're going now - not just where we've been! He was a little confused but so excited on the way to church today. He was doing his slow dance in his car seat to show us his appreciation! I will be uploading that video shortly . . . we'll see if I can post it . . . been having problems with that lately . . .

Happy Birthday Little Man!

I can't believe my baby is 1 today 7-7-07! He can face forward in the car and eat honey! hehe This time last year we were scared for our precious angel but he's one tough cookie. He's my miracle baby.I thank God every day for my little man.

We went to Gabby's birthday party today - she turned 5 yesterday. It was at a water park and Madelyn was so excited! I'm sure Marek thought it was all for him!

July 4th Crafts

Madelyn and I worked on this 4th of July craft today. We can find a lot of things to do inside!

Between showers we had lunch and went to a new park! We all felt like we needed to get outside!

San Diego

OK - I lied. Only one picture was taken on this trip. Tom was playing volleyball with his friend Bivin (WHAMO!). They were playing some of Bivin's friends, David and Paige. During a water break - some girl approached Paige and me and asked if she could take our picture for some website and we could download it free. Why not!

Fossil River

Fossil Creek is now a river - I went out this afternoon after it stopped raining and could hear the creek! I'm glad the golf course is lower than our house!

Rain, Rain, Go Away

I hate to say that because next year we'll probably have a drought . . .

The creek behind our house was a raging river last week after it rained all day and night. And it hasn't stopped! It keeps rising and falling. Tom and I were in beautiful, dry, and sunny San Diego last Wednesday through what was supposed to be Sunday but ended up being Monday. Fun travels with inclement weather and heightened security. :) I was just glad the kids weren't with us for the 10 hours on the plane yesterday! It's good to be home.

I have no pictures to show from our trip! You'll just have to take my word that it was beautiful and a very nice break for my husband and I! Thank you MIMI for taking such good care of my babies!

Dance Lessons

Madelyn started dance lessons last week. They're twice a week and she LOVES it already. The only shot I got is very blurry but she is in front with the white shirt and hair everywhere!

Mimi arrived Tuesday night to watch the kids while Tom and I went to sunny San Diego. Mimi brought Madelyn a dance ribbon that she thought was great. She danced around the house all night with it. Notice her outfit, too. She's really into playing dress up right now - several times a day. . . Here she is sporting her moon boots (2 sizes too small), her striped jersey dress, and her "buckle" (heart belt). Very stylish . . .
