Baby Cooper

Saturday, we visited baby Cooper (Al and Cameron's 4 month old) with the Whisenants. They are Long Horns fans (if you can't tell) but I don't think we watched one flick or throw of the football! We were chasing kids all day!

Baby Coop!

We stayed well past Maddie's bed time - she was a bit over-tired and giddy!

Marek was actually awake for most of the festivities!

FULL NIGHT SLEEP

Marek slept through the night last night!! On Wednesday night - he went 7.5 hours between feedings (sleeping about 5 hours). Last night, he went 12 hours between feedings and slept for 10 hours!! I, of course, didn't sleep that much because I kept waking up and staring at the monitor and checking on him . . .

I can only hope and pray that it continues!

2 months old!

It was another cool day on Marek's 2 month birthday! He had 3 shots in the morning - his big sister Maddie was there to help soothe him. He's weighing in at 13 lbs 15 oz and 22 3/4" tall!!

Kelly and I took the kids to the park for a picnic to take advantage of the beautiful 85 deg day. It takes more time getting ready to go to the park than it actually takes to play there . . .

Imaginary Friends

We also found out over the weekend that Madelyn has imaginary friends! They are two penguins named "Cheetah" and "Anita". No kidding - she told me all about them and named them herself . . .

I, too, had imaginary friends when I was young - "Say-Say" and "Chaunice". I turned out just fine . . . . . .

I think it has everything to do with her creativity . . . :) Here are some more drawings. Daddy drew our family and Maddie drew in our faces.

Daddy really doesn't have that much facial hair but it does hurt when he kisses us with his 5 o'clock shadow!

Ahhh the Life . . .

Marek slept through the rainy Labor Day weekend in his swing chair . . .

Labor Day Weekend

Mimi and Dziadek (jodgy) came up from Houston for Labor Day weekend. I only got a picture of Gena with the kids the whole long weekend!

Gena painted Maddie's toe nails. Maddie was so proud of her pretty toes . . .

Marek's Bedding

Although Marek's room is still a work in progress . . . Mimi made all of his bedding. She came in to watch Maddie when I was about 7 or 8 months pregnant and I went to a dozen fabric stores in Dallas. After 2 whole days of waddling through the stores and searching through reams of fabric - I finally found what I wanted! Mimi made it come to life and I absolutely love his bedding. You're amazing - Thank you, Mimi!!

The inside of the bumper and his blanket are made of the softest velour I've ever felt! Marek loves it, too!

Picnic in the Park

Kelly and I took the kids walking on Tuesday since it was only 87 °F. We had a little picnic in the park. They had a blast!

Marek slept on the walk there but didn't really like stopping . . .

The kids found a praying mantis that was showing us his martial arts skills!

Madelyn vs. Marek

Check out Madelyn's baby pictures vs. Marek's. They're so similar! (Actually, Maddie had a little less hair!)

Here is Madelyn at almost 1 month old praying for a brother someday!

2nd Day of Preschool!

Daddy had to bring Madelyn to school on Wednesday because Mommy was taking Marek to the Doctor. He did great! He had her hair done and was there EARLY! Good job Daddy!

What a difference a day makes . . . When I went to pick Maddie up, one pigtail was out, her hair was a mess and her socks were off! Crazy girl. Her cousins, Ashlynn and Chase, also go to her preschool!
