Nana's and Papa's Lake House

For Super Bowl Sunday we finally made it out to Nana's and Papa's lake house. It's so beautiful and the kids LOVED it. The Whisenants didn't make it because the boys are sick - we missed them tons.

As soon as we got there, Madelyn ran out back to the lake to feed the ducks and seagulls with Nana. . .

The ducks kept a lot of lake between us and them . . .

She came to the window to show me the pretty flowers she picked (mouth outlined by chocolate from her cookie). . .

The Post's showed up! All the cousins fed the ducks . . .

One duck was brave enough to get closer and get some crackers . . .

Once the other ducks saw that it was safe, they all came in for a bite!

Even the seagulls joined in. . .

Madelyn watched on as the ducks swarmed the crackers in the water . . .

Chris came with about 6 fishing poles in one hand and a huge tackle box in the other. Chase looked like a pro - he just picked up a pole and started fishing . . .

Daddy helped Maddie fish some, too . . .

The little girl (big girl to the kids) next door, Skylar, came over to ask the kids if they wanted to jump on her trampoline. They didn't hesitate . . .

Skylar taught them how to play "crack the egg" . . .

Pure joy . . .

Madelyn was so exhausted after her busy day. She fell asleep as soon as we strapped her into her car seat.

They had so much fun at the new lake house and are so excited to enjoy it this summer!
