Gymnastics - Bring a Friend

Or cousins! March is "bring a friend" month at her gymnastics school so we brought Ashlynn and Chase! Madelyn had so much fun tumbling with her cousins!

Waiting for class to start . . .

Princesses!
All eyes on Miss Michelle!
Madelyn doing a somersault . . .
Chase doing a somersault . . .
and Ashlynn doing a somersault . . .
Maddie's favorite . . . the tunnels . . .
Madelyn sometimes drifts off . . .

Ashlynn showing good form on the bar!

By herself!

Chase was next. . .
he was doing all sorts of tricks! Silly boy! (Check out Ashlynn in the background - such a ham!)
Madelyn being very serious . . .
Marek wants to join in on the action!

Receiving their stickers at the end of class . . .

After class the kids played in a bucket full of water outside and then "took a nap" (not at all) in Madelyn's bed.

What a fun day!

B & J

. . . for Brian and Jessica . . .
They came over bearing gifts again! Madelyn loves their visits because they always bring her fun stuff! This time it was birthday gifts since they couldn't make it to her party. It was fun for mommy, too! This was just one of the adorable outifts they (Jessica ) got her!

Backpack Carrier

Marek is getting so big and the weather was so great (2 weeks ago) that we decided to finally try out our backpack carrier. What a life saver this thing is (or an arm saver . . .)!! It was a shower gift from Nana and Aunt Kelly. We love it - thank you!

It was such a nice day that Madelyn tried out her tricycle, too! She's such a big girl. . .

Letter to Mimi

Madelyn and daddy wrote a letter to Mimi after her last visit (~2 weeks ago). We miss her very much but are very excited to see her again in Houston for Easter!

Thank you, Mimi!

Gymnastics Audience

Nana, Mimi, Aunt Stephanie and Daddy all came to watch Madelyn in her gymanstics class 2 weeks ago (3/6). She felt pretty special with all of the attention!
She loves when there are "forts" to crawl through!
Madelyn told her teacher, Miss Michelle, that she was tired. She took a little break in the middle of class . . .

In the middle of one of her routines, Madelyn told Miss Michelle that she needed to give her daddy a hug and a kiss. She ran over to him and gave him a great big hug and kiss. Needless to say, daddy was beaming for the rest of the day.

Sitting Sara

We got to baby sit precious little Sara Semmler (back on Feb 28 - I'm a little behind). She was such a good girl. Madelyn loved having a playmate that didn't drool all over her like her baby brother does!
Madelyn reading Sara "Goodnight Gorilla". Sara holding on tight to her "Lambie" and "Blankie".
After dinner it was time to draw on the easel!
Sara stacking the stars . . .

We had so much fun with that precious angel. Thank you, Scott and Susan for letting us play with her!

Girls Night Out!

I had a much needed girls night out with Gena and her cute friends in Dallas the weekend before my birthday. Apparantly I drowned my aging sorrows in alcohol (too much). I was in bed sick the next morning . . . or day depending on who you talk to. I guess I'm not as young as I once was. I'm getting old and my body can't handle it! :(

We ate dinner at Javier's in Dallas. Herein lays the problem. I started off with two VERY strong Margs . . .
Gena, Sarah (Gena's roommate), Crystal, Me
Unfortunately for me, I started drinking vodka tonics after dinner. Oh, poor me. I wish I could go back and tell myself to slow down . . .

Sarah, me, Gena

Still at Javier's drinking Vodka tonics . . .

Sarah, me, Crystal

I blame this man. He was the manager bringing me drinks. :)

It was a very fun girls night! Now, I must rest up for the next one . . .

Mimicking Momma

Marek really studies your face when you talk to him - he's very observant. I ask him to say things (momma, dada, etc) and he'll repeat them and mimic my face and mouth. It's so stinkin' cute! Here he's saying "Momma, momma, momma". That's my favorite . . .

Marek sitting up

His milestones are starting to run into each other. Today I went to get him out of his crib and he sat straight up. I didn't have my camera with me (which is really a shocker) but got some other shots of him trying to escape! I'm so glad we lowered his crib!

He always looks so pleased with himself!
Everytime I go to get him from his crib, now, he's standing!

"Slow down, you move too fast. You gotta make the moment last . . ."

Gymnastics - Bars

Madelyn looked like such a little gymnast on the "uneven" bars (or bar). She is such the athlete!

And she still takes the time to smile for the camera!
