Swimming and Volleyball

Two Saturdays ago (that's right - I'm behind) Tommy was invited to play volleyball at a his friend, Mike's, house. They have a full sand volleyball court and also a pool in their backyard. Madelyn, Marek and I swam with Tina (Mike's wife) and their 2 year old little boy. He was an AMAZING little swimmer which made Madelyn less apprehensive. He swam completely on his own - no floaties or anything! Madelyn was imitating him instantly - jumping in the water and dunking her head under.
The volleyball court - we need one of these in our backyard someday. . .
Madelyn jumping off the diving "rock". I forgot her swim suit. :) We had the person interested in buying our house over that morning and they were negotiating prices and signing papers so we were running late. I had all of her stuff set out but forgot to pack it. Good thing she still fits into Marek's swim diapers . . .
The shiner on her head - this picture doesn't even do it justice. She fell onto our kitchen tile while holding onto something with both hands and didn't let it go. Her head took the brunt of the fall. I know it's good that the bump came out instead of going in but my goodness, it looked so painful. It became a magnet and she smacked it in the pool also. Poor girl. It didn't stop her from swimming, though . . .
She found some goggles and loved being able to see underwater . . .
Marek swam for a little while and then took a long nap which gave me a nice break . . .
Madelyn just swam and swam . . .
Except for when she took a break to watch daddy play volleyball . . .

Another fabulous weekend!
