Slippers

He kept putting on his cousins' slippers so I got him his own pair of Cars slippers . . .

so spoiled . . .

Trunk of Treats

Madelyn's school had a "Trunk of Treats" party last Saturday. We had never been to one and it was so cute! All of the cousins were there. Madelyn and Marek were Mike Wazowski and Sulley from Monsters Inc; Dylan and Landon were Black and Red Spiderman; Ashlynn was Snow White and Chase was Superman! We started off with the huge jump house slide . . .
Madelyn needed a little help and Uncle Chris came to the rescue!
Yes - it really was that high up . . .
People decorated their trunks (hence, "Trunk of Treats") . . .
. . . some were very elaborate!

Uncle Chris was so great - he helped me with Marek since Tommy wasn't there. He strolled him around and fed him some doughnut holes! I was able to take lots of pictures . . .
Thank you, Uncle Chris!!

Whisenant Weekend

Kelly and Jason were so gracious to let my kids and me stay with them this past weekend. Tom was out of town and Nana and Papa go to the lake house every weekend. I was sick the whole weekend but we still had lots of fun . . .

The kids love to get tupperware and make "leaf salads". . .
Marek loves to help . . .
Big Smiles!

CHEESE!
BOUNCE HOUSE
Static heads . . .

More Jeep Pics

Madelyn just loves letting the wind blow through her hair . . .
Marek is obsessed with his cousins' Jeep. Why does he have to like such expensive toys! It doesn't even have to be moving - he will sit in there forever pressing buttons and pretending to be driving!
Dylan and Landon take turns driving Mr. Marek around . . .

He'll just have to wait until he's potty trained and then he can get a Jeep as a reward himself . . .

Costumes!

Halloween started for us last Wednesday at dance. Madelyn got to wear her first of what will be 5 costumes to dance class last week!

My sweet little dancing princess . . .

SMILE!

Marek is finally figuring out what to do when he sees the camera. I'm surprised it took him this long . . .

Cold Season

Marek has seen me do enough of this lately . . .
He puts the tissue up to his nose and actually blows!
So stinkin' cute!

Lakehouse

We've been so busy moving and using the weekends to look for houses that we haven't been out to Nana's and Papa's lakehouse in quite some time. We finally got the chance to go last Sunday. We packed up the kids and headed out to Granbury. The weather has been so beautiful so it was a perfect day to go.
Papa has been working on the dock for a couple of months and finished while we were there! He's so amazing . . .
Daddy and his girl . . .
There are two Pecan trees in their backyard so Madelyn and Marek were helping find pecans!
Papa is such a hard worker . . .
The dock is HUGE and beautiful - my dad's a perfectionist . . .
There were caterpillars floating down from the trees landing everywhere and Madelyn was catching as many as she could . . .
The wind had died down enough to take a ride on the pontoon boat! Madelyn and Marek had waited ALL day to go!
Daddy and his babies . . .
Marek found his favorite spot, after roaming the boat, right next to papa. He would just stare at him and giggle!
Madelyn and Papa enjoying the beautiful view and sunset. Actually, papa sitting and listening to Madelyn tell stories . . .

15 Month Check-Up

Marek had his 15 month check up last week. I'm only allowing two shots per visit from here on out. I've prayed and prayed and researched and researched about this and that's what my answer is!
He LOVES the fish in the waiting area. He squeals, does his little "o" face, at all the fish, and says "see that?!, ohhhhhhhh". It's too cute. He knew exactly what was going on when we got called back. He does not like to be changed at all and on the "shot" table with the paper - forget it . . .
He took the shots like a champ, though. A few tears and he nestled his head in my neck and sucked his thumb.

15 Month Stats:

  • Weight: 24 lb 10 oz (50th percentile)
  • Height: 31" (50th percentile)
  • Head: 48 cm (~75th percentile) (Oley Head)

He may be average on paper but he's off the charts in cuteness!

ICE CREAM

Not really ice cream - frozen custard! Tom and I took the kids to a local frozen custard place and Madelyn was very upset at first. She fell asleep in the car on the ~3 minute drive there so she was exhausted. When she saw that we were going somewhere other than Braums - she was ticked. She cried and said she didn't want anything there (drama queen). Once she tried daddy's mint chocolate chip and brownie frozen concrete (like a blizzard) she decided it was her new favorite. :)
This place is off of a busy road (Denton Hwy) and Marek was waving at all the cars driving by . . .
Sugar high.

Trikes

We took the kids outside to let them ride their trikes around in the driveway. I was taking pictures of Maddie and heard someone running. I turn to find Tommy chasing Marek down the driveway. Run away trike!! Yikes. He, of course, loved it and did it over and over and over . . .
Madelyn was more interested in picking flowers!

Lights

Marek has been fascinated with lights lately. Especially the lights next to Nana's and Papa's chairs. He will walk up to each one, point, sign and say "help" until you turn it on. Then he'll walk to the other and do the same thing. When you actually go to turn the light on he smiles and squints his eyes in anticipation of the brightness!
He found a light up in the bonus room that turns on if you touch any part of it.
It's his favorite thing to do . . .

"Painting" Cookies

Madelyn kept asking Nana if she could "paint" some cookies - like we did for Easter - she has a GREAT memory! Nana watched Madelyn and Chase last Friday so she made some Halloween Sugar cookies for them to "paint" together.
Marek couldn't get enough cookies. He kept signing and saying "more", "num", "help" - he gets excited and uses all of his signs!

Thank you, Nana!!!

JEEP

Marek finally got to ride in his cousins' jeep. He was so excited - smiling and giggling the entire time. . .
