Journey to Bethlehem

Nana tried to get us all together last year to do this "Journey to Bethlehem" thing at The Church at The Cross which is near our house. We weren't able to do it last year so we all made sure to schedule it in advance this year. It wasn't easy getting us all together with so much going on but we managed to get together on Saturday and go! It's just an amazing experience and great for the kids. They held us in the church with great entertainment before being shuttled out with our group. It's very theatrical and the sets were beautiful. We headed outside to start the journey to Bethlehem. We had our passports to show the Roman soldiers when they came up on horseback. It was FREEZING outside and Micah didn't last long. By the time we got to the second station she was screaming. I headed back with a very nice shepherd boy who was planning on attending A&M next year. :) Micah settled down when I was walking and fell asleep - I think she was just tired and with the starting and stopping it wasn't helping. I waited in the hot chocolate tent at the end for the family. Everyone loved it and I guess I'll just have to wait until next year to see the entire thing. :)
Baby Ava all bundled up and ready to go!
Everyone came back to our house and had hot chocolate, chick-fil-a, and homemade marshmallows!
